Malangen Resort is located in one of the best Northern Lights hotspots in the Tromsø area. The "guard" gives guests the opportunity to see the mysterious northern lights. We start the magical journey with an orientation about the natural phenomenon and the prevailing northern lights conditions, before we take the trip to our very own base camp, Camp Nikka, which is only a 20 minute walk from the resort.

Join a journey through Sami culture. The Sami are the indigenous people living in the northern extremities of Europe. Join us in a lavvo (Sami shepherd tent) with a hear fascinating stories about the indigenous people's way of life, their history and faith, in the glow from the fire inside the lavvo.
Full day trip on the Malang Peninsula
Our full day hike goes to the top of some of the most scenic mountains on the Malang Peninsula. Prepare for spectacular views of two fjords - Malangsfjorden and Balsfjord.
The route starts in a beautiful birch and pine forest. When you cross the tree line, at an altitude of 300-400 m, the fjord landscape opens up. The peaks in the Malangen area are 800-1200 meters above sea level. The higher you go the more spectacular the view becomes.

Our half-day trip is an easy trip up hills and to the viewpoint on the Malang Peninsula. Over the tree line, the spectacular view reveals itself over the surrounding fjords, where the sea reflects untouched nature.

Experience the Malangsfjord from a stand up paddleboard, this is a fantastic way to experience the sea that is suitable for both young and old.
Arctic tasting
Get a glimpse into the mythical past of Viking age drinking customs and learn about high-tech alcohol production at the top of the world. During this exciting guided tasting you will see, feel and smell Arctic ingredients that are all used in the production of Aurora Spirit, the world's northernmost distillery.
