Autumn Northern Lights Watch

Malangen Resort is in one of the best Northern Lights hotspots in the Tromsø area. The “watch” gives our guests the opportunity to see the mysterious Northern Lights. We start our magical journey with a briefing about the natural phenomenon and the prevailing Northern Lights conditions before we set off to our very own base camp, Camp Nikka, which is just a 20-minute walk from the resort.

Camp Nikka is strategically located near the resort beside a small lake in an area without light pollution. Guide statistics from recent years show that the chances of seeing the Northern Lights here are around 85 percent! Please note that our Northern Lights Watch does not include hunting the Northern Lights hunting by minibus or similar. We have instead chosen to provide a basecamp experience so our guests can see the Northern Lights combined with comfort and relaxation. Guests can relax around the fire in our cosy lavvu. A light meal and hot drinks by the fire are also included.
